"Rock Con, The First Annual Weekend Of 100 Rock Stars" is set to take place at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel & Conference Center the weekend of July 30 - August 1.

Produced by Charles F. Rosenay!!! and Liverpool Productions, this show will feature 100 stars participating in fan-driven concerts, autograph signings, photos, product giveaways and meet-and-greets. Many of the guests will be linked to Beatles history with a special theme of 'Lennon Legacy.'

Some guests already confirmed to appear include current and former members of the Hollies (2010 Rock Hall of Fame inductees), the Cars, the Animals (1994 Rock Hall of Fame inductees), Elephant's Memory, Vanilla Fudge, Tommy James & The Shondells, the Yardbirds (1992 Rock Hall of Fame inductees), the Stories. Spanky & Our Gang, the Bay City Rollers, Utopia, The Rascals, The Smithereens and others.

Our 2010 programs, sculpted by Artistic Directors Roni Ben-Hur and Nilson Matta, will immerse jazz players and vocalists - of all ages, abilities and musical backgrounds - in a week of personalized instruction at College of the Atlantic, a 37-acre campus overlooking Frenchman's Bay, minutes from Acadia National Park.

These two internationally acclaimed musicians-bandleaders-composers will be joined by saxophonist Bill McHenry, vocalist Amy London and COA composer-in-residence, John Cooper. Each of our faculty members, in addition to being consummate musicians and performers, are inspired educators who bring contagious joy to the experience.

Songwriter Ann Ruckert presents her ProShop at the New York SGA office. At every session, twenty of the area's most talented up-and-coming songwriters play one track, each, for distinguished industry professionals from all walks of the music industry. Over 60 Pro Shop participants have signed recording and/or publishing deals within the last three years.

On behalf of the 29th ISME World Conference Organizing Group and two hosts: China Conservatory of Music CCM and Chinese Society for Music Education CSME, I would like to extend my sincerely invitation to all of you to the 29th ISME World Conference, which will be held in Beijing, China from August 2 to 6 2010.

China is an ancient civilization nation with its more than 8,000 years music history. The glamorous, beautiful and splendid Chinese music belongs to Chinese people as well as you from all over the world. We have a long tradition of sharing and exchanging our music and culture to our friends from world wide nations.

The hosts of 2010 ISME World Conference, China Conservatory of Music and Chinese Society for Music Education are two most important institutions for carrying on, promoting and spreading traditional Chinese music. We have been bending ourselves to bring higher development of traditional Chinese music and introduce it to abroad.

China Conservatory of Music is the only higher education institution with a focus of traditional Chinese music education and research, which was established under the late Prime Minister Zhou Enlais proposal in 1964. The conservatory has contributed much on promoting Chinese culture and cultivated hundreds of national musicians since it was established 44 years ago.

CCM pays much attention to the international music and culture exchange and keeps a close relationship with many higher music education institutions. We have hosted many international music events such as the Presidents Forum of International Music Colleges in 2004, the Contemporary New Music Concert from China and France in 2004, the International Yangqin Conference in 2005, the International Percussion Festival in 2006, the International Piano and Bass Cello Festival in 2007 the 32nd General Assembly of IMC and the 2nd World Music Forum in 2007, the World Female Composer Conference in 2008. Also, we collaborated with three Austrian Music Colleges and established China-Austria Jointed Music College in Beijing last year.

Chinese Society for Music Education is one of the most important and influential academic associations of China, which covers the relevant research fields of music education in all levels. CSME is also an ISME group member and an affiliation of Chinese Education Society. Currently, CSME has more than 3000 active members and 13 affiliated professional associations. CSME works closely with the Education Ministry of China and many higher music education institutions and has the experiences for organizing many national as well as international music activities.

The 29th ISME World Conference site Beijing is an international capital city. It is also the politics, economy and culture center of China as well as a popular tourist destination. The famous scenery spots such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the Great Wall have carried many beautiful and miraculous stories. They attract thousands of tourists from all over the world. The 29th Olympic Games is to be held in Beijing this August, and this old city will become the world focus again. China Conservatory of Music is only a few blocks away from the main gymnasium of Olympic Games, the Nest and the National Aquatics Center, " the Water Cube. The 29th ISME World Conference venue will be held the National Conference of China, which is just inside the Beijing Olympic Village.

Hosting the 29th ISME World Conference is our honorable and glorious mission. We are always willing to try our best to push a well development of music education of the world and give any possible help to you for exploring Oriental culture as well as Chinese music. We are now ready to provide a convenient and satisfactory service for our friends from all over the world.

On behalf of the Polish Society of Double Bassists we have the honor to invite you to participate in the events of the 4th World Bass Festival in Wroclaw 8th-14th of August 2010. The event is organized as a biennale since 2004 This year, special for you during festival week 35 classic and jazz soloists will play recitals, chamber concerts and conduct master classes in the most beautiful concert halls in the center of the amazing historical city Wroclaw. The choice of the place for the unique World Bass Festival isn't accidental because of the fact that the most famous Double Bassists of the last three decades like Giovanni Bottesini, Serge Koussevitzky and Gary Karr gave recitals in Wroclaw.
